Application for admission of new ordinary shares and change of accounting reference date

Manganese Bronze Holdings plc is very pleased to announce that it has received all the necessary regulatory approvals in the People’s Republic of China for the establishment of its joint venture with Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (“Geely”) to produce the London taxi, a limousine and two large saloon cars, in Shanghai.
Consequently, an application will be made today for the 5.7 million New Ordinary Shares to be issued to Linkstate Overseas limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Geely to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange. These shares are subject to lock-in arrangements as outlined in the recent circular to shareholders.
It is anticipated that trading in the new shares will commence on Friday 22 June, 2007.
In addition, the Board of Manganese Bronze has decided to change the accounting reference date for the Company from 31 July to 31 December to ensure that the financial results of the joint venture are reported simultaneously to shareholders. The Company will produce its next set of full year audited accounts for the period to 31 December 2007.
